Heart-Shaped Strawberry Nutella Tea Sandwiches

Yield: 5 heart sandwiches
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

These strawberry and Nutella heart-shaped mini sandwiches feature layers of cream cheese, strawberry jam, and Nutella, topped with a fresh strawberry. Easy to make and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sandwich bread (white or whole-grain)
  • 2 tbsp Nutella chocolate spread
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 5 fresh strawberries (small to medium-sized)

Instructions

  1. Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut four hearts out of each slice of bread, for a total of 16 hearts. (Don’t waste leftover bread scraps—toast them to make croutons!)
  2. Spread a layer of Nutella on one side of 5 hearts.
  3. Spread a layer of cream cheese on 5 hearts, then top with a layer of strawberry jam.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches by layering one Nutella heart, then one jam heart, and top with another plain heart.
  5. Place a small strawberry on top of each sandwich and secure it with a skewer or cocktail stick.
  6. Arrange the sandwiches on a serving plate and enjoy immediately or store briefly in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

You can cut the bread and prepare the spreads ahead of time. Assemble
the sandwiches just before serving to keep the bread from becoming
soggy.

Use a sharp cookie cutter for clean heart shapes.
