Acar Timun Nanas is a traditional Indonesian pickled vegetable and fruit dish, featuring cucumbers and pineapples. mixed with some red onions and chili peppers.
This Asian acar recipe has a unique flavor that combines the sweetness of pineapple, the crunch of cucumber, and the spiciness of chili peppers, all balanced by a tangy, vinegary brine. The cinnamon adds a warm, aromatic note to the dish.

Acar is typically served as a side dish or condiment alongside rich, savory Indonesian dishes such as fried rice (nasi goreng), stir-fried noodles (mie goreng), satay, or grilled meats. It adds a refreshing contrast to rich or savory meals.
To prepare Acar authentically, you cook the fruits and vegetables with a vinegar and sugar mixture, adding spices to enhance the flavor. This process helps the flavors meld together and creates a well-balanced pickle.
