These puff pastry croissants are a quick way to make crescent-shaped pastries with just puff pastry and egg wash. They bake up golden and flaky with very little effort. They’re not real croissants (don’t tell your French friends), but they’re a great shortcut when you want something warm and bakery-style at home.

Serve these warm for breakfast or brunch with butter, jam, or honey. They also work well with coffee or tea, or as a simple side with eggs, fruit, or yogurt.

How to Make Puff Pastry Croissants

If puff pastry is all you’ve got on hand, this croissant hack works perfectly. The recipe skips traditional croissant dough and uses ready-made pastry for fast, golden results. The puff pastry is rolled out, cut into triangles, and then rolled up into a crescent shape. The croissants are brushed with egg wash and baked until puffed and golden.

You can easily customize them by adding chocolate, cheese, or ham before rolling, or by sprinkling a little cinnamon sugar on top.
